I grew up on a small Island in Norway. On the windy North Sea Coast. I spent my childhood in nature. I grew up wild and free, running in the mountains behind our house and playing with my sisters and our family dog. I would roam in the mountain for hours picking blueberries, or just walking along the beach. The beach is where I was the happiest. I still have such a strong connection to the ocean, and that's why I do the majority of my work at Deerfield Beach here in South Florida.

For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to be an artist. I just wanted to create! I was inspired by the beauty of the Norwegian nature and the Norwegian painter Odd Nerdrum, with his dark and compelling portraits, as well as contemporary Norwegian Vebjorn Sand. As a teenager, my biggest dream was to study art in the US, and thanks to the most supportive parents, I was able to travel overseas at 17 to pursue this dream.

I received my A.S. Degree in Photography at The Art-Institute of Fort Lauderdale, FL and my B.S. Degree in Photography at Brooks Institute of Photography, Santa Barbara, CA. I opened my first studio in Fort Lauderdale in the 90's, and even back then you could find me doing a photo shoot at the beach at sunrise, but boudoir photography was my jam at that time.

Today, I'm the mom to the most wonderful teenage son. I was meant to be a mom and it shapes everything I do- especially my photography. Watching my son grow up so fast is a bittersweet feeling, and the comfort that photography is providing is priceless! Being a mom has taught me the importance of capturing the little details and the "in between" moments that are all too fleeting.
